Vivaldi’s Four Seasons – rediscovered
with Songs in Celebration of Nature
July & August 2024

Vivaldi’s beloved classic comes to the Countryside! Jeannette Sorrell and violinist Alan Choo present the Four Seasons as the revolutionary acts of musical storytelling that Vivaldi intended. If you thought you knew the Four Seasons, be prepared for surprises! From the bird calls and storms to a barking dog, drunken peasants, an exhilarating fox hunt, and more… the musicians join Vivaldi’s 18th-century peasants as they revel in the changing of the seasons.

THREE PROGRAM VERSIONS TO CHOOSE FROM!

  • HOLDEN: Alongside the Vivaldi, soprano Andréa Walker presents delightful 17th-century songs about Nature by Henry Purcell and Thomas Morley.
  • AVON LAKE: Alongside the Vivaldi, soprano Amanda Forsythe presents tempestuous Italian arias.
  • BATH: Alongside the Vivaldi, Apollo’s Fire performs other lively instrumental pieces.
