I Music – The Apollo’s Fire Discovery Series

A FREE educational series designed for Grades K-2

Designed for young learners (ages 5-8), I Music Discovery Series features video excerpts from the Grammy®-winning baroque ensemble Apollo’s Fire. Topics covered include an introduction to baroque music and its context in history, the emotions expressed through baroque music, learning about baroque musicians and the instruments they play, baroque dancing, baroque opera, and more!

Each interactive episode lasts 15-20 minutes and comes with a supplementary teacher packet including a teacher guide, vocabulary list, and supplementary activities aligned with the Ohio Learning Standards for Music. Designed by AF’s Education Specialist Gabriella Martinez, Artistic Director Jeannette Sorrell, and Artist-in-Residence Amanda Powell. Hosted by Gabriella Martinez, Amanda Powell, and Angela Mortellaro.
