BACH’S MASS in B MINOR

Apollo’s Fire and conductor Jeannette Sorrell are thrilled to embark on a major project in April 2025: recording Bach’s B Minor Mass for international CD release. We are thrilled to have assembled a stellar company of artists for this project, including the finest period-instrument specialists from across the country.
The recording will take place at the stunning Trinity Cathedral in Cleveland, where AF recorded a comparable work, Bach’s St. John Passion, in 2016. AF’s St. John Passion album was chosen by the Times of London as their No. 1 pick among all the St. John Passion recordings on the market. Critics wrote:

The worldwide CD release is slated for spring 2026 on British label AVIE. It will be accompanied by a full video release on YouTube and/or Medici-TV.
