Apollo's Fire Takes Mozart's Masterpiece Back to its Roots
as Popular Musical Theatre

Mozart’s 1791 box-office hit is a rich tapestry of fantasy and legend, speaking to us on many levels. Apollo's Fire presents this Singspiel (musical) as it is rarely heard - with the light voices, lively tempos and period instruments that Mozart intended. Papageno and his birds come to life when Jeannette Sorrell plays the glockenspiel, just as Mozart did each night. Abridged 2-hour English adaptation - a delight for the whole family!
